Nantucket-Treweryn Beagles
Berryville, Virginia.
Organized 1924.
Recognized 1924.

The Nantucket-Treweryn Beagles are a pack produced by the amalgamation of the Nantucket Beagles (established as a harrier pack in 1926), which formerly hunted jack rabbits from June to August on Nantucket Island, with the Treweryn Beagles (established 1924), which formerly hunted the country of the Radnor Hunt in Chester County, Pennsylvania.  The packs were joined in 1964 as the result of the marriage of their respective Masters, Mr. & Mrs. David B. Sharp.  Mrs. Rebecca Sharp, granddaughter of the poet Sydney Lanier, was previously Master of the Nantucket Beagles.  In the 1960s, the Sharps moved to Middleburg, Virginia.  The pack today hunts the country of the Blue Ridge Hunt in Clarke County, Virginia and Jefferson County, West Virginia.
